The Korea Communications Commission has issued an administrative disposition in connection with the #Goodchoice #personaldata breach.

"Goodchoice was hacked in March, losing 3,239,210 accommodation booking records and 178,625 items of members' personal data. Excluding duplicates, 971,877 people had their personal data stolen, and the controversy grew when 4,817 humiliating messages — along the lines of 'Mr./Ms. XX, did you have a wonderful night at XX (name of accommodation) on such-and-such a date?' — were sent to those affected. At its plenary meeting on the 8th the Korea Communications Commission resolved on administrative dispositions against With Innovation, comprising △ a penalty surcharge of KRW 301 million, △ an administrative fine of KRW 25 million, △ a recommendation to discipline those responsible, △ a corrective order to cease the violations and establish measures to prevent recurrence, and △ publication of the fact of the corrective order."
