Musical actor Ho-young Kim, who had filed counter-complaints against complainant A for defamation, false accusation and intimidation, has filed an appeal after the prosecution issued a non-indictment decision.
According to legal sources on the 16th, attorney Sanguk Kwon of Law Firm Changchun, who represents Ho-young Kim, told Maeil Business Star Today: "The defamation, false accusation and intimidation charges against A resulted in a non-indictment for insufficient evidence. We disagreed and filed an appeal last week."
Ho-young Kim reportedly received a non-indictment on the quasi-indecent assault charge for insufficient evidence.
On that point, attorney Kwon explained: "Our position was that the dashcam footage should be disclosed.
It appears that material was not submitted. As to the quasi-indecent assault A alleges, our position is that it is plainly false."
Attorney Kwon added: "Ho-young Kim did not know A's real name. He was given a business card describing A as the head of a certain agency, and took that name to be A's real name. The agency name was real, but the card was fabricated and A was not in fact its head.
They were not close at all — he only learned A's real name in the course of the complaint."
