In the collective dispute settlement proceedings being conducted by Law Firm Changchun, the Korea Consumer Agency visited Honda Korea's Seongsu-dong plant and carried out a site inspection of the CRV.
"According to Law Firm Changchun, which is handling the legal proceedings on behalf of the affected owners, some 80 owners have applied to the Korea Consumer Agency for collective dispute settlement and the process is under way. The settlement proceedings opened on the 4th, and on the 19th the Agency's Consumer Dispute Settlement Commission visited Honda Korea's Seongsu-dong plant to conduct a fact-finding inspection.
That day the Commission examined the rust and corrosion on five or six of the vehicle models at issue directly, and asked Honda Korea for materials on △ its rustproofing methods, △ product information for the rustproofing materials used, △ the quality documentation verified during the import process and △ the specific manufacturers of each rusted component, along with the company's explanation of the rust and corrosion."
