From a Hankyung Business Magazine report dated June 18, 2019.
Law Firm Changchun is led by co-managing partners Geonho Park (40th class) and Jaesun Yoon (40th class), classmates at the Judicial Research and Training Institute. The firm has 13 attorneys, most of them friends born in the 1980s, with comparable levels of experience.
That makes for what is widely regarded as younger, more flexible team play than at other firms. Respecting its members' interests and autonomy, the firm also houses startups: "Good Stones," a specialist agency for football players, and "Angry People," a class action platform.
Reflecting a landscape in which the lines between civil and criminal matters blur and IT and accounting issues intertwine, Changchun operates as a One-Firm System, providing clients with every legal service they need in one place.
Its close collaboration across fields with affiliated entities such as Changchun Accounting Firm and Nara Appraisal reflects the same trend. The firm became better known still after opening up its recruitment of new employees (interns) on the reality program "Good People."
Meeting on June 10, managing partner Jaesun Yoon of Law Firm Changchun said: "Most of Changchun's members are friends and acquaintances," adding, "Changchun is unusual, if you like, in the law firm world. It is the only place that moves like a single firm on the strength of close teamwork."
